SHPS Historian
Anthony Clemons serves as the Society's Historian, bringing a rich interdisciplinary background to his work in Southern preservation and historical research. A former assistant archivist for Judson College in Marion, Alabama, he is currently completing an M.A. in American History from Gettysburg College. He holds an Ed.M. and M.A. in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, an M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing from Goucher College, a B.S. from Judson College, and an A.S. from Marion Military Institute. Anthony resides in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
Director of Digital Strategy
Robert Brown is an award-winning Digital Strategy Director specializing in the healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. He currently serves as the Digital Communications Director for the Center for Clinical and Translational Science and brings extensive leadership experience as the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Red Steel Creative since 2008. In addition to his strategic roles, he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he is also currently pursuing a Master of Science in Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, and AI. Backed by a Master of Arts in Interactive and UI/UX Design, his creative initiatives have earned him numerous industry accolades, including Hermes and W3 awards for excellence in branding and web design.
